Application Process

Positions with SAS 70 Solutions are dynamic opportunities that allow for professional growth, development of a deep skill set and association with some of the brightest minds in the industry. Hence, recruiting is a critical process for our company. SAS 70 Solutions uses an engaging approach for recruiting candidates that will thrive in our system. The basic steps of this approach are described below.

Step 1 – Candidate Information is Submitted to SAS 70 Solutions

The recruiting process starts when a candidate is identified by referral or through a application submission. Typically, such information is submitted in response to our postings on employment websites, directly through our website, or by a third party recruiter.

Standard Duration: SAS 70 Solutions' in-house recruiter will typically review submitted information and, if applicable, schedule a phone interview within two business days of receiving the information. No response may be given to submissions that vary widely from the ideal candidate profile described on the “Profile of an Ideal Candidate” described in the Careers section of this website.

Step 2 – Initial Screening and Phone Interview

SAS 70 Solutions’ recruiter evaluates all resume submissions. Phone interviews are scheduled with those candidates whose background and requirements appear to meet the qualifications for current position openings.

During the course of a phone interview, our recruiter utilizes a standardized questionnaire to document specific information regarding the candidate. Following the phone interview, the recruiter presents the responses to the questionnaire to the shareholders along with a recommendation as to whether SAS 70 Solutions should continue the recruiting process. Based on this information, a decision is made as to whether a shareholder interview will be conducted.

Standard Duration: The phone interview lasts approximately 30 to 60 minutes. SAS 70 Solutions' recruiter will typically notify the candidate within two business days following the phone interview as to SAS 70 Solutions' intentions regarding further consideration.

Step 3 – Shareholder Interview

SAS 70 Solutions’ shareholders may request a phone interview with certain candidates. This secondary phone interview is used as an opportunity to discuss the candidate’s background, skill set, experience, and employment expectations at a deeper level, as well as to assess the candidate knowledge of SAS 70 audit concepts. It is also an opportunity for the candidate to ask candid questions of the shareholders. One or more shareholders may attend this interview along with the SAS 70 Solutions' recruiter. Following the shareholder interview, a decision is made as to whether the candidate should be invited for an on-site office visit. Candidates invited for an office visit may be asked to submit to employment verification screening, credit verification, and/or a criminal background check as a condition of being considered for employment.

Standard Duration: The shareholder interview lasts approximately 60 minutes. The SAS 70 Solutions' recruiter will typically notify the candidate within two business days following the phone interview as to SAS 70 Solutions’ intentions regarding further consideration.

Step 4 – Office Visit

An office visit is the final step in the recruiting process before a decision to hire a candidate is finalized. Office visits are well organized with every candidate being presented an itinerary of the day’s activities upon arrival.

Office visits are broken into several sessions. Each session is presented by a different set of team members. This allows the candidate the opportunity to assess the culture of the firm. Additionally, it allows SAS 70 Solutions personnel an opportunity to evaluate the candidate and provide feedback of their assessment to the shareholders.

During the course of all office visits, candidates are presented with information on the following topics:

  • Scope of services offered by the company
  • Methodology
  • Corporate culture
  • Appraisal system
  • Promotion and advancement opportunities
  • Employment benefits
  • Continuing professional education curriculum

Candidates are encouraged to ask candid questions at any time. SAS 70 Solutions’ team members are instructed to give clear and direct answers regarding their understanding of the topic and their personal experiences with the firm.

The office visit typically concludes with a meeting between the candidate and one or more shareholders. The meeting is relatively informal and is primarily used to answer any outstanding questions that the candidate may have regarding the opportunity.

Following the office visit, shareholders will combine their impressions of the candidate with evaluation feedback provided by other team members that met with the candidate. A hiring decision will be made at this point in time.

Standard Duration: Office visits are normally conducted on a Friday and last approximately six hours. Candidates are notified of the firm’s hiring decision within one week following the office visit.

Step 5 – Offer Letter and Employment Agreement

When SAS 70 Solutions decides to extend an offer of employment to a candidate, the SAS 70 Solutions recruiter contacts the person to congratulate them and verbally communicate major components of the offer. This telephone call is followed by an e-mail that contains an offer letter and employment agreement. Additionally, hardcopy versions of both documents are mailed to the candidate. Candidates that accept the offer are asked to sign and return the employment agreement to SAS 70 Solutions within a specified number of days.

This step concludes the recruiting process for fully recruited candidates.

Future Consideration of Candidates

SAS 70 Solutions extends employment offers to less than 5% of the candidates that submit their resumes. A decision not to extend an employment offer at a particular point in time does not mean that one may not be extended in the future. All submitted candidate information is centrally maintained in an in-house database so that candidates can be considered for future opportunities. Candidates that seek to join SAS 70 Solutions should not be discouraged if an offer is not extended immediately. Candidates should continue to send us updates to their professional background and employment requirements as there may be an opportunity with our company in the future.

SAS 70 Solutions is an equal opportunity employer. It is the policy of our company to prohibit discrimination of any type and to afford equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. Our company conforms to the spirit as well as the letter of all applicable laws and regulations.
